Contest 1 has a Winner, Contest 2 Begins!

Congratulations to Elwenah, whose design titled “BFWB” is the winner of our very first Customized Girl Design Contest. She will receive a check for $200 and her design will be featured in the March 14th issue of US Weekly.

We had a lot of fantastic entries, and we wish we could have given out more prizes. The good news is that another contest starts now, so there are still plenty of opportunities to be the next winner!

Simply create an awesome design that you think would look great in US Weekly, save it to the gallery, and tag it “Contest 2”.

=========================================

If you’ve never saved a design before, here’s a quick lesson:

Choose any piece of apparel from one of our many categories (we recommend Her Tops and Undies). In the Design Center you can add text, clipart, and your own images. Everything is adjustable, so feel free to experiment with the text styles, colors, sizes, etc.

Most importantly, be sure to save your design once you’re finished. Just click the save button in the Design Center.

On the next page name your design, choose the first tag from the drop down menu, and add “Contest 2” as an additional tag.

Be sure to leave your Share Option as “share”. Then click “Save” and you’re done!

You probably noticed that Elwenah’s design does not exactly the same as the one in the ad. One of the reasons we liked it so much is because we thought it would be perfect for the Spring Break audience, and we wanted to put it on a more Spring Break-friendly tank top. In the future, we might ask to adjust your design a bit if we choose it as the winner.

If you created a super cool design for Contest 1, feel free to add Contest 2 to the tags. Some of the designs were so good, we might consider them for Contest 2 as well.

Updated: The final date for entries is March 24th at noon ET. We’ll try to get the winner of this contest into the April 4th issue of US Weekly. After that, feel free to tag your new designs Contest 3!

*You must be 18 years old to claim your prize.

*Enter as many times as you want. You do not have to purchase your design to be entered into the contest.

  1. Hi everyone!

(Please see the above post for all of the answers to your questions).

The deadline is March 14th at Noon Eastern time.

To enter this competition, all you have to do is create and save a design. When saving the design, tag it “Contest 2”. To save a design you must create an account.

Thanks again for showing so much enthusiasm. We’ve already got 248 designs, there is still plenty of time to enter, and plenty of possibilities to win $200.

    Thanks!

  2. Yeah… I was wondering that too, comedygrl2004. How is the winner to be notified? If it’s by email, what should we look for in the subject line?
(I’m skeptical about opening email… LOL!)

  3. well i didnt see that the contest ends at 14th march..do i have to change it and save it again without the contest2???

  4. I know!!!! LOL! If it’s going to be in the March 28th issue, when are we going to find out? When the mag comes out?? LOL! I kid. But, please announce the winner… please.

  5. Greetings,

We must sincerely apologize for the delay. It was very wrong of us to make you guys wait so long. Things have been pretty busy around here (we hope you like the new fonts and clipart!).

This contest was another terrific round and it is taking us an extra long time to pick the winner. There are too many great choices.

The winner will be notified by tomorrow via email.

We want to get the winning design into the April 4th issue of US Weekly. The deadline will be tight, but we think we can make it.

Thanks so much for your patience. You guys did really well.

  6. The winner(s) of Contest 2 have been announced! Go to the CG blog home to check them out! Congrats!
