This design is based upon the Chartres Labyrinth found in the Chartres Cathedral in France. The path of this open, un-walled labyrinth is often walked as a form of moving meditation. Many find it to be soothing and healing. Smaller versions, such as this, can be used as a "finger labyrinth" where you can trace over the path with your finger or a stylus as a form of meditation.
