I saw a picture of Britney Spears wearing a shirt just like this. I agree with her, in that the American Dream can be viewed as a quest to work hard, sacrifice a lot, maybe gamble a bit, and hopefully come out with an absurd amount of wealth. But is it also the American Dream to let that wealth and fame drive you into a depressing shell of your former self? No it is not, but perhaps in a case as extreme as Britney's, it was somewhat inevitable. At least we have learned some valuable lessons to be applied in our own pursuit of the American Dream / absurd wealth. And I for one, will rock this t-shirt in that quest.
