This section allows you to choose from any of our hundreds of stock clip art designs. You can move the clipart within the design area, size it and change the color. If you cannot find what you are looking for, please let us know.
1. Select a clipart category from the drop down menu. When you change the category the window below will update and display the clipart in the corresponding category.
2. Select a clipart. Simply click on the clipart you would like to see on your item. The new clipart will immediately display on your item.
3. Select a color from the drop down menu. The new color will immediately display on your item.
4. Drag the clipart anywhere you want inside the design boundary. To see the design boundary, check the 'Show Design Boundary' checkbox in the Preview window.
5. Adjust the clipart size. Increase the clipart size with the up arrow, decrease with the down arrow. The new size will immediately display on your item.
This section allows you to add up to 4 lines of text to your item. Choose from our many fonts, colors and size options, including arch. You can also click & drag the text anywhere inside the design area.
1. Type your text in the provided text boxes. The text will immediately display in the item preview window.
2. Adjust Text Size allows you to adjust the size of the text from 12 to 70 points. Each line can be adjusted independently of the other lines.
3. Adjust Arch allows you to add bend to the text in a semi-circular shape.
4. 'Adjust All Text Size' changes the size of all the text at one time.
5. Choose your text style from the drop down menu. The text style you have chosen will immediately display in the preview area.
6. Choose your text color. This changes the color of all four lines of text. The new color will immediately display in the preview area. Exception: Glitter fonts will not display in the preview area.
This section allows you to upload your own images. In order to upload an image you must have an account on CustomizedGirl.com and be signed in. If you don't have an account or are not signed in when you select "Upload Image" you will be directed to the registration / sign in page. For your convenience CustomizedGirl will automatically save images you have previously uploaded.
1. Image formats. We accept digital graphics in PNG, JPG and GIF format up to 400 KB's (kilobytes). For best results save and upload your image with a size of at least 1000 pixels in height or width at 96 DPI (Resolution).
If you need to change the image format or size, you can do so in any graphic program (i.e. Photoshop). If you do not have a graphic program, you can download a small program called IrfanView from www.irfanview.com. Please follow the installation instructions on their website.
2. Clicking on the "Upload Image" button will bring up a window. Use this window to search on your computer for your image that you want to upload.
3. If you upload an image that is small in size and low in resolution, the printed image is likely to lose detail, with some jagged edges where there should be smooth curves, or with rough graduations in tone and unacceptable levels of contrast.
Though you will be able to alter the image size once you upload it, you will not be able to make it larger than its original size. If you find an image that is 72 DPI (the standard resolution of any web image) and it is only 100x100 pixels, it will only show up around the size of 1 square inch on your item. The bigger the image size, the higher the image quality.
4. Alignment allows you to align the image you have uploaded to the left, center, or right of the design boundary. Check the 'Show Design Boundary' checkbox in the Preview window to actually see the design boundary.
5. The "Your Uploaded Images" window shows all clipart you have uploaded. You can select any of these images and the image will show up on your selected item in the preview screen.
6. To delete any images you have uploaded, you can click on the 'My Gallery' link in the link bar at the top of the page. From here you can select 'My uploaded images' and remove any of your images from the system.
Allows you to save your design to 'My Gallery' or to the 'Community Gallery'. The community gallery is viewable by the public. My Gallery is only available to you. You cannot save a design until you have created an account and logged in.
Gives you a printable view of your designed item.
Allows you to email your design to friends and family.
You can keep your current design and move it to another item by selecting a category and an item. There is no need to go back to a product page to change your item. NOTE: Because the Design Boundary changes with each item, your text or clipart may be adjusted to fit. If so, just drag the clipart & text to the desired location.
You can even choose a different style item and your design will be preserved.
