Hi CG fans! Today we wanted to thank The First Church of God in Blacklick, Ohio for letting Customized Girl<\/a> be a part of their ministry. Yolanda participates in a small aerobics group at The First Church of God, and \u00a0the group decided to hold a fundraiser. \u00a0Customized Girl was lucky enough to be a part of this great cause, and wanted to commend all those who contributed to this event! \u00a0Below is Yolanda’s story!<\/p>\n

“Faith Works is a Women’s Aerobics Small Group at our church (First Church of God).\u00a0 Our Small groups meet once per week for 10 week sessions.\u00a0 Faith Works not only exercise together, but study the bible as well.\u00a0 A special component to our small group ministry is providing a service to our community.<\/p>\n

During our summer session as a church each small group (we have over 15 groups) chose a family with financial needs to adopt.\u00a0 Our Faith Works group decided to conduct a Race\/Walk instead and raise money for multiple families in need.\u00a0 Donations to the walk and the purchase of t-shirts all went to the families.\u00a0 We had a total of 25 participants, over 45 donations and raised a total of $600, which was shared amongst two families. (This was all done within a month of planning!)\u00a0 The group and participants were very excited about the day and we plan to make it an annual event.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 We received wonderful feedback on the design\/quality of the t-shirts.<\/p>\n
