I just wanted to give a special shout-out to Melissa Poland-Knapik.\u00a0 Melissa posted a picture of her and her family wearing \u201cAlzheimer\u2019s Sucks\u201d t-shirts that she ordered from our site.\u00a0 Melissa\u2019s husband found the design in our gallery, and she loved them because of her involvement in raising Alzheimer\u2019s awareness.\u00a0 Sadly, Melissa\u2019s own mother suffered from this disease and passed away May 9<sup>th<\/sup>, 2009.\u00a0 Melissa also shared some interesting facts about the disease.\u00a0 Did you know:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>There is yet to be someone who survives a diagnosis of Alzheimer\u2019s.<\/li>\n<li>Every 71 seconds someone develops Alzheimer\u2019s disease.<\/li>\n<li>Only half of those who develop it are properly diagnosed.<\/li>\n<li>It is the 7<sup>th<\/sup> leading cause of death in the United States.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Melissa and her family wore these shirts on Mother\u2019s Day 2010 in her mother\u2019s honor, and to raise awareness for this devastating disease.\u00a0 Melissa is active with the local Alzheimer&#8217;s chapter and co-chair the local Memory Walk with the help and support of her siblings.\u00a0 Thank you so much for sharing your photo with us Melissa, and best of luck to you as you strive to raise awareness for Alzheimer\u2019s disease.<\/p>\n<p>Want to dress for a cause?
