Hi CG fans! Today we wanted to thank The First Church of God in Blacklick, Ohio for letting Customized Girl be a part of their ministry. Yolanda participates in a small aerobics group at The First Church of God, and the group decided to hold a fundraiser. Customized Girl was lucky enough to be a part of this great cause, and wanted to commend all those who contributed to this event! Below is Yolanda’s story!
“Faith Works is a Women’s Aerobics Small Group at our church (First Church of God). Our Small groups meet once per week for 10 week sessions. Faith Works not only exercise together, but study the bible as well. A special component to our small group ministry is providing a service to our community.
During our summer session as a church each small group (we have over 15 groups) chose a family with financial needs to adopt. Our Faith Works group decided to conduct a Race/Walk instead and raise money for multiple families in need. Donations to the walk and the purchase of t-shirts all went to the families. We had a total of 25 participants, over 45 donations and raised a total of $600, which was shared amongst two families. (This was all done within a month of planning!) The group and participants were very excited about the day and we plan to make it an annual event. We received wonderful feedback on the design/quality of the t-shirts.
Customized girl did a great job, having them completed in efficient time, and providing excellent customer service through the process. I have designed many shirts and have used Customized girl each time, and I am always pleased with the results, the Race/Walk was no exception. We look forward to next years event!”
