It a start of a new school year and for many individuals that means it is time to start fundraising. Fundraising can be a year long event from seasonal athletics, club teams, and any school functions. In most cases fundraising responsibility is left up to booster clubs. Booster clubs are organizations that are formed to support and raise money and are generally essential in supporting youth athletics. Instead of thinking of new fundraising ideas every year, Customized Girl has added storefronts to not only raise money but to also bring awareness and support for your team.
Customized Girl Storefronts are an extremely easy way to raise funds for any sports team. Our art gallery has an endless variety of sports themed art and our designers supply sporty designs to help give you ideas. If some reason we don’t have the art you are looking for let us know and we will add it for you! There are absolutely no start-up costs to open a storefront, nor will you ever pay a fee to maintain your storefront. Simply design the tees, tanks, sweatshirts, and accessories you’d like to sell for your organization, promote your storefront to volunteers and supporters, and collect the royalty earnings to use for upcoming events or general fundraising needs. All you have to do is design. Customized Girl processes orders, prints the designs onto apparel, and even ships the products from your storefront. It’s really that easy. Take a look at some youth boosters already established on Customized Girl:

It’s amazing the message Be By Designs is spreading and even more impressive how they are branding themselves. Be By Designs has an active twitter following and an amazing instagram account. Be By Designs is a great example of a storefront using social media to brand and spread awareness.

Baseball, custom apparel, and raising funds for charity? Sign me up!
Customized Girl has been working with the OCAO to launch a storefront to help raise funds for those who have been affected by ovarian cancer. What’s great about the OCAO is not only did they create a storefront to help raise funds for the cause but they customized special event shirts to help promote their event “Turn Huntington Park Teal.” It’s a great OCAO event they hold every year with the Columbus Clippers (AAA baseball team, affiliate of the Cleveland Indians) to help spread ovarian cancer awareness. They also made sure to sequence their “Turn Huntington Park Teal” designs to rank at the top of their page leading up to the event to make sure customers could easily find and purchase shirts for the event.
Here are some great pictures of their custom designs and participants from the event:
It’s amazing what storefronts can help achieve for those raising funds and awareness for great causes. The OCAO had a design concept, created an account, and brought it to life on custom apparel. It’s that easy! Check out our article The Future of Fundraising: How Smart Non-Profits Like CADCA are Raising Funds with Custom Apparel Storefronts to learn more about what a storefront with Customized Girl can do for your charity.
Make sure to stop by OCAO’s storefront and see what great things they are accomplishing by helping spread ovarian cancer awareness.

28 May 2014
Just this month we unveiled our Customized Girl Storefront Program and we already have over 200 storefronts! We couldn’t be more thrilled with all of our storefront owners’ designs and the work they put into it their stores!
To celebrate and honor the hard work of our storefront owners, we will be featuring one Customized Girl storefront owner a month in a blog post dedicated to them and their designs! This month’s featured storefront owner is The Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America!
“Since 1992, CADCA has demonstrated that when all sectors of a community come together —social change happens. CADCA is the premier membership organization representing those working to make their communities safe, healthy and drug-free. We have members in every U.S. state and territory and working in 18 countries around the world.”
The CADCA Storefront was created so that the organization can sell tees and accessories printed with their designs as a fundraising effort.
When you purchase a CADCA tee from their storefront, they earn a royalty from the sale. That royalty is going towards the organization’s efforts to create drug-free communities across the world.
Customized Girl Storefronts are an easy way to raise funds for any non-profit organization.
A storefront with Customized Girl is especially useful to non-profits for several reasons:
-Customized Girl offers full color printing. We can print a variety of colors that are in your logo or design. CADCA is taking advantage of our full color printing with their beautiful, colorful designs. Screen printers charge extra for each color, so if you wanted to place orders of smaller batches with this many colors, it simply wouldn’t be economical feasible. But we use state-of-the-art, direct-to-garment digital printers. And we can make it happen! Full color and no minimums.
-In a Customized Girl Storefront you can sequence designs. That is, move specific designs to the top of your page for upcoming events like 5k’s or specific community events.
-Your designs are always there, unless you remove them. This makes it super easy to hide designs for those specific events after the event has ended and change information for the next year’s.
-You have total control over your designs. CADCA has saved their designs on each color shirt that they want members to choose from. It’s easy to keep on trend with your organization’s current themes or events.
-Customization. Maybe you are designing shirts for your organization’s upcoming 5k. Your volunteers and runners can quickly and easily customize a tee or tank or performance shirt from your storefront to add their name or a number.
-We offer a wide array of accessories too, not just shirts. Design and sell tote bags, water bottles, iPhone cases, aprons, and more for your non-profit organization!

We are very happy to unveil our new storefront program!
Customized Girl is a community of Statement Makers. We believe that women should be encouraged to express themselves and leave their mark on the world. We produce clothing and accessories that allow our customers to give voice to their ideals, opinions, jokes, and pretty much everything else. A while back we started our Statement Maker Interview Series to showcase some of the amazing things our customers and other remarkable women do to make a difference in the world.
We still felt like there was more we could do.
And that’s how we came up with storefronts. We’ve created Customized Girl storefronts to allow creative and enthusiastic people like yourself the chance to express yourself and be heard… all while making a little extra cash.
Customized Girl storefronts will allow businesses, brands, fashionistas, non-profit organizations, and most importantly, YOU the chance to sell your custom designed tees, tanks, sweats, accessories and more for extra money right in your own pocket!
What is a storefront?
A storefront is a place, a site hosted by Customized Girl, from which you can sell your custom designed apparel and accessories. This means you can use the art and fonts from our design center to create a new and unique design or upload your own photos and logos to create something from scratch! For every sale that comes out of your storefront, you will earn a royalty!
Who can open and start a storefront?
Anyone can! Simply create an account with Customized Girl. On the My Account page, you will see a link to Create a Storefront. Click that link!
I have a Customized Girl account, now what?
Once you’re on the My Account page, click the Create a Storefront link! Next, you will be able to create a store URL, title, and description. You can even upload your own logo! The next time you save a design, you will see an option to share that design on your storefront. That’s it!
What kind of royalty can I earn?
Our storefront royalty rates are based on specific items. Selling the same design on one shirt may earn your a higher royalty than another shirt. Right now, it ranges from 10% to 16%.
You will see the royalty rate on the product details page of every item and on the save page. When you save a design, you will see “The royalty rate for this item is __%”.
Tip: if you want to find low-priced items with high royalty rates, start with our line of Basic Tees. (Basic apparel comes in light colors.)
If you want to earn the highest possible dollar value per item, start with the more expensive brands, like American Apparel or Alternative Apparel.
How do I get paid?
We use PayPal™.
If you don’t already have a PayPal™ account, please create one. It’s easy and free. You will be asked to enter an email address. When you have earnings to redeem, simply go to My Account > Earnings and enter that same email address and click ‘redeem’.
You should wait to redeem your earnings.
Right now, you have to accrue $30 in earnings before you can redeem them. We encourage you to wait as long as possible (really let those earning pile up) before clicking redeem. This is because PayPal charges 2% per transaction, but with a max fee of $1.00. 2% of $50 is $1.00, so the more you let your earnings pile up past $50, the more you save.
If you have accrued less than that, but you plan on closing your storefront, please contact us for special arrangements.
What if someone customizes my design?
You still get paid. It doesn’t matter how much they change it. If they enter the design center through your design, and add something to their cart, you earn the royalty.
We will not allow another user to take your design and add it to their own storefront. Each design must be approved by a real human and we will watch out for this. If you notice someone copying your designs, please contact us right away: firstname.lastname@example.org.
