Hey there CG blog-readers! I have yet another fantastic/creative/amazing/fantastic/fabulous fan who posted her design on our Facebook page.  Caroline Brooks (Avery) created her “Marine Wife” design for when she goes to visit her hubby at Camp Pendelton for the Memorial Day weekend.  These two are high school sweethearts who got married in January, and are planning a big wedding celebration in the near future.  We hope you have a great time with your Marine this weekend, Caroline! Hey CG Fans! Just wanted to show a little blog love to one of our awesome/amazing/creative CG Fans!  I would like to give a special shout-out to Hannah Byrom, who posted the design that her soldier created for her! He found our site and made his own design which he sent to her, and we think it turned out pretty darn good!

Hey CG fans! I just wanted to give a special shout-out to Melissa Poland-Knapik.  Melissa posted a picture of her and her family wearing “Alzheimer’s Sucks” t-shirts that she ordered from our site.  Melissa’s husband found the design in our gallery, and she loved them because of her involvement in raising Alzheimer’s awareness.  Sadly, Melissa’s own mother suffered from this disease and passed away May 9^th, 2009.  Melissa also shared some interesting facts about the disease.  Did you know:

• There is yet to be someone who survives a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s.
• Every 71 seconds someone develops Alzheimer’s disease.
• Only half of those who develop it are properly diagnosed.
• It is the 7^th leading cause of death in the United States.

Melissa and her family wore these shirts on Mother’s Day 2010 in her mother’s honor, and to raise awareness for this devastating disease.  Melissa is active with the local Alzheimer’s chapter and co-chair the local Memory Walk with the help and support of her siblings.  Thank you so much for sharing your photo with us Melissa, and best of luck to you as you strive to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s disease.

Hey CG Fans! Just wanted to show a little blog love to a couple of our awesome/amazing/creative CG Fans! First, I want to give a special shout-out to Genni Harper-Currie, who posted her design that she created for her walk for Conner, who has Cystic Fibrosis. Genni tells me that Conner is getting ready to go into Hospice care, and we just want to let you know that everyone at Customized Girl is thinking of you and your family! It is always really special to see the personal designs that our fans create, and hopefully, showcasing those that raise awareness will help benefit their cause.

I also want to give Sharla McKeon and her family some kudos for designing super cute tees for the birth of their niece, and I think they turned out great!
